On the Lighter Side
One year ago I had problem with my internet connection. And you understand a life without internet in 21st century means you are virtually in the cave age. I contacted my service provider and they advised me that due to recent storm in neighbouring state most of their technician are not available to fix the problem immediately. I need to wait for 21 days (living in 21st century and waiting for 21 days - indeed everything happening with 21). I was really angry and dissatisfied, then they offered me a portable model which will be send to my address within 7 working days. I waited for 7 days but the model didn't arrived. I called the service provider and they advised me that the modem was posted and it would arrive soon. I waited for another 3 days - no sign of the delivery. I called them again and they advised me to go their nearest outlet and get one modem from the shop. I went to their shop and choose the modem, when I came to the cash counter, the cashier requested me to pay. I told them that their company advised me to get modem from the nearest outlet but unfortunately they didn't agree, as I had urgency (I was in cave age - no internet for 10days) so I bought the modem. I tried to connect the internet with the portable modem - Alas it was not working, I spent about 2 hours and virtually did everything - but no good luck and remained in the cave age. I went back to the shop and advised it was not working, the sales person who sold me the modem checked and found it was not activated in the first place from the shop. I told them I wouldn't take the modem from such a stupid vendor and requested the refund. And they told me this is not in their company policy. I advised them I want to talk to the manager, the manager came and heard the story and refunded the money. Then I bough the modem for another service provider shop and make sure the modem was activated in the shop. Then I called my service provider and enquired about the posted modem, they affirm it was send about 10 days ago but I didn't received it. Suddenly I asked about the delivery address and found it was send to my old address - this is indeed in the lighter side that the service provider didn't checked my current address before delivery.
